Amazing Views and good location

As mentioned in the headline, whether deck or from inside, the views are amazing. I took possibly the best sunset picture I've ever seen from the deck. And from the d I didn't see any way to strap your skis and go from the unit even with more snow, but you can take a short walk down to slope access or drive and park if spots available. We were able to park right by the slope and it was maybe a 150 foot walk to the slope. If you already have valid tickets, you can ski directly down to the lodge and buy a ticket before getting on a chair.

The place is fine for a short stay, but the kitchen is small and not super well-equipped, but the host was very accommodating about getting us what we needed.

The bedroom upstairs is an open loft, so there isn't a ton of privacy, and the fold out couch is about as comfortable as those usually are.

The property was clean, and clear directions were provided on how to get into the property as well as what to do before leaving.

If you are skiing, I highly recommend black tie rentals if you don't have your own equipment. They will deliver, setup, and pickup all equipment for a reasonable price. I was there with my daughter and it worked fine.

I'm not sure how food delivery would work since you're behind a security gate, but there is a good italian place named Bella'sa short distance down the left once you hit the main road (and a grocery store, coffee place and chinese place. If you turn You can also drive about 15 minutes to Banner Elk. We ate at Sorrento's - very nice atmosphere and food was good but bit pricey, and Uncle Lee's had very good Tom Yum sopup and Sushi.

Great location, easy to navigate, walking distance to the slopes, room was entirely too small. Only a small loft and pullout couch. Very tight, not enough space for 4 adults. We left a night early to sleep in our own beds.

Breathtaking View

This was our first time visiting the area. It was amazing! We stayed in a loft condo with a pull out couch. The only minor issue was that there wasn’t a thermostat, just two heaters on the wall. The loft area got really hot and even with the all of the fans running it felt a little like a sauna upstairs. Otherwise a perfect stay.

Great condo but check-in was a disaster

Stayed in 11-703. I called ahead as a late arrival and was told my pin to enter the condo and welcome packet would be available to me when I got there. The pin did not work. It took over an hour to get someone on the phone after standing outside the condo with my takeout food in the middle of a cold night. I ended up calling the emergency line and someone finally came out and let us in our room. The pin I was provided was not the correct pin. As a result, we missed night skiing and were unable to leave our room until the next morning as the person who came to help us on check in night, said he was unable to give us the pin for the door lock. We lost an entire night of our vacation and was not once offered compensation. The condo itself was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. Wish the check in process hadn't put a damper on our vacation.

The owner of this unit prefers to update the code themselves for each guest. As soon as we knew that the code was not correct we had security get you, in apologies. I spoke to you the next morning to follow up you did not ask for a discount ? I will follow up with owner to see how they want to proceed.
