Perfect for a long weekend for snowboarding
dated but did the job

It was a good place. The place looks like it was decorated in the 90s. There is no central heat but there are heaters on the walls. They provide plug-in fans. There is a smart TV. There are about 8 steps outside that have about 6 inches of snow on them all the time so be prepared for that. There is water damage on some of the ceilings. The shower head is very cheap. There was mold on the floor by the tub. You could use a place to hang your snow equipment to dry. I just put a towel down and hung it in the closet. The bed sheets are super starched and scratchy. The wallpaper is peeling off. Be warned there is a wood-burning fireplace but you need to provide the wood. The main door into the apartment needs to be checked. When I closed it the door would still move about an inch back and forth but it would not come open from what I could tell. There is a way to secure it at night on the inside. Also, you have to take your trash to the trash compactor which is outside the main gate. This wasn't a big deal for us but wanted to let everyone know. Overall the place is clean but just very dated. For the price it was ok. The location is great for the slopes. It is still a good walk but nothing terrible. We will probably try another one out next time since each is owned separately.
Not to clean and outdated

The resort itself and staff were wonderful. Very helpful and nice people. The room we stayed in had garbage on the top bunk under the mattress. For the price we paid the furniture and appliances very old and unkept. The couch had a sheet over it to cover up burn holes. The top bunk bed is extremely unsafe because it has no railing.

Everything was great but the rental unit is in need of updating. Couch was kinda nasty
Ski out condo

The staff at sugar were wonderful. The condo definitely needs some upgrades. Flooring is starting to come up at the seams. Baseboard heaters are missing knobs and have electrical wires coming out of them. Ceiling is discolored in many places. The location is wonderful for skiing or snowboarding. Very short walk and you are at the top of one of the slopes. When you are done for the day the lift brings you to where you need to be. Overall we were happy with the location.

Great place to stay! Great location, scenery, on top of the hill next to a ski lift, outdated, but clean and inexpensive. I highly recommend this place.

It would have been nice to have someplace to leave your skis poles and boots so you could leave a pair of shoes for the walk up to the condo for lunch.

Peaceful, quite, exactly what I was looking for in a ski in ski out
Definitely Stay There Again

Right from the original phone call to make the reservation I was impressed. Bre was great and very helpful. The rest is history. No smoking mirrors, no curve balls. Even on the day of check out they were accommodating and let me leave my vehicle in their parking lot so I wouldn't have to move it and fight to get a parking spot at the ski lodge. Definitely going to stay there again. If I had to find one negative thing to say (which is hard), I would think that the pool and jacuzzi should be open a little later than 9pm. I like to ski at night and when I get done nothing would feel better than a soak in the hot tub.

The location right off of Oma’s lift made it super easy to start skiing in the morning after obtaining lift tickets the night before. The office staff and maintenance staff were incredibly nice and helpful. The newer pool and workout room were a nice bonus.

Gina at reservations was wonderful to work with The condo is convenient to ski slopes. The condo needs a lot of upgrading. Floor peeling up, no tv in bedroom, water stains on ceiling, lighting is dim. Could be a very charming place. The Bunk beds need to either be changed out or removed. I am afraid that someone will roll out, and get hurt. The responsibility will then be on the owner ‘s and clubs shoulders. (I’ve worked in management/ownership in hospitality for over 25 years) please consider this.
Subpar

We knew the unit was outdated, but when we got there, it was extremely dark. Without overhead lights in the bedroom, there was a musty smell, no heat whatsoever had been turned on, and it would’ve been nice to have a toaster. The pool and hot tub were the best thing, but the ski in ski out plan did not happen since the resort ruined our experience, and we were unable to ski, despite having multi day equipment rentals. Unfortunately, we will never be back to Sugar Mountain. Please convey to the owners of our unit that they may have a moisture issue, and that the wallpaper could be contributing.

A Dive!

I was expecting the unit to be small, but not so outdated. The stove and dishwasher are the original ones (early 80s?). The sliding door to balcony would not close all the way. The exterior hall door would stick and sometimes not lock. The outlets in the bathroom did not work. The carpet had to have been replaced in the last 30 years, but it's not new. If you're looking for anything halfway updated, don't stay here. I sure won't again! If you're looking for a place to "ski out", it's wonderfully convenient. Just pick another unit to stay in!!

This has been our third stay with the resort. Each time has been a very Wonderful experience. We will be going back! The units were very clean and had everything that we needed to be very comfortable. Just can't say enough good about this place. Everyone who works there, including office personal clear down to maintenance were very helpful and made our stay absolutely GREAT!
Needs updating and not ski in/out.

The walls are thin and if anyone walks upstairs, the walls rattle. The appliances are as old as I am. This place needs serious updating. Also, it's not convenient to the slopes.
Sugar Ski Review

The staff at Sugar Ski is great. They are just real people and that is not always easy to find. The location of all of the units at Sugar Ski give you awesome views of the mountains. They are near 5000 feet in elevation. My unit was well appointed and clean. No issues, no problems. That is telling in itself.
Great spot for skiing.

The unit was great, I was traveling alone so the room was plenty big enough. Clean, good appliances and tv. The only issue I had was the fact that I could not ski in ski out which was the whole purpose of booking this location. Not the properties fault there wasn’t enough snow to have all lifts open, the left side of the mountain was not operational so I had to drive down and back up everyday I skied. Again, not the properties fault but my little 4 cylinder car barley made it back up the mountain each day.
