1 small bedroom with bunks in the hallway. I didn’t realize that I booked for the busiest weekend of the year. I also thought ski in-out would be near the lodge rather than the top of the mountain so those elements really complicated the trip. It’s a 30 minute bus ride to the lodge. Accommodation took 24 hours to warm up and the hot water only worked on fully hot. The living room was very small and the stools were unsafe (broken/wobbly). The staff allowed us to check out late which really helped!

This condo was pretty good for our family of three but I couldn’t imagine having another person with us due to the size. It was right next to the clubhouse and pool/hot tub which was nice. Everything was in working order though it took us a while to figure out there was no thermostat, just baseboard heating. The bed in the only bedroom made a terrible noise any time you rolled over at night which woke us up, so we did not sleep well. There were plenty of extra blankets in the closet and ceiling fans in the kitchen and bedroom. The bunk beds recessed in the hallway were great for our 11 year old. Overall, the location was good and the rental company was easy to deal with.
Perfect space for the 4 of us!

This apt was in a great location, walking distance from the Oma's Meadow lift. It was so close that we could easily stop in the unit to make lunch in the fully equipped kitchen or take a break from skiing. The place was ample size for the 4 of us, and it was in a good shape. Out 9 and 10 year old boys loved the built in bunk beds, and both the fire place and view from the balcony added a real mountain feel. Convenient to the clubhouse with pool and jacuzzi. Will certainly rent here again
Overall a great stay

This was our first time visiting the area and the mountain. We wanted ski in/out and the location of this club was perfect. The unit we stayed was sufficient for what we needed, but definitely could use some updates. The chairs and mattresses were very old. We wished it supplied some of the basic things like small container of oil and dish sponge. They supplied multiple coffee makers but only one worked, so that was a lot of trial and error. The fireplace made up for those shortcomings, but I think the place could use much more upgrade to improve the quality of stay. I would come back to the club but would probably look into other units. The ladies at the desk were wonderful and kind. Overall we had a great time.

The unit met our needs for a short stay. Disappointed in fitness center hours and room temperature (too warm)

3/5 stars. This condo was up and a hill which made it more difficult to walk down to the ski lift. Heater was original from I think the 70’s and gave us issues. Heater was also not very clear to find on arrival and the room was freezing. The common area hot tub was kept around 92-93 degrees and Management wouldn’t raise it. More like a warm tub and I heard other guests complain about this as well. Positives: Good location, friendly staff, easy check in/check out.

Very small place but cute. Good location very close to the top of Sugar Mountain. Since it is very small there a no dressers for your clothes and the closet was filled with bedding supplies, etc. Having been recently remodeled the place overall was ok however the furnishings are outdated and require replacement. The high-top chairs are very unstable and ready to break. The main bedroom mattress caved in towards the middle and was uncomfortable. Poor lighting in the living room and some burnt-out lights made it difficult in the evening. Debris was found on carpet representing a lack of quality cleaning which during a pandemic is concerning.
While disappointed in the above, I would recommend the location of the units. The owner(s) just need to resolve the above issues.

Our family of four (w/two teenage boys) appreciated the convenience this location provided us. The pull out sofa was very comfortable and the built in bunk beds were actually long enough for my 5’10’ son! We used the fireplace on the first night which was really nice.

Nice little condo for a weekend getaway. It was clean, comfortable, well stocked, and had great long-range views. We arrived after hours but it was a very easy check-in. Close to everything in the high country

Gena in the office was so helpful, answering all my questions about the area, the unit, and skiing. The unit was small but that was fine for our small family of three. My five foot nine son even fit on the hallway bunkers. The sunrise and sunset views were magnificent and we loved being able to walk a few steps to the ski slopes. The hot tub, heated pool, and sauna were great after a long day of skiing! Sugar Mountain was very crowded the first day(holiday weekend) and we recommend renting skis offsite (the resort provides a coupon) which is cheaper and takes way less time. We also recommend eating at Banner Elk Cafe (we ate dinner there twice)!

Fantastic stay. Friendly staff, unit was very clean. Perfect amount of space for our 3 person family (our 7yo son loved the built-in bunk beds). Closest slope was closed but still only a 5 min walk to ski to the base.

Not at all as described. Beds were horrible, especially the sofa beds. They need to be thrown off the balcony followed by a box of matches. No way anyone could or should sleep on the top bunk with no rails. I thought about sleeping on the floor, but, the carpet was disgusting. There were hairs in the bathtub and dirty dishes in the cabinet. There is no place to put your groceries, the drawer for utensils is one the wrong side of the cabinets in the hall more than in the kitchen. Our unit was supposed to be ski in ski out, but it wasn't. The view wasn't bad.
For skiiers, not home bodies.

If you don't want to get into your car during your vacation, this is the place.
It is a little "hike" to get to the slopes (not right out side your window), but nothing compared to having to park and walk to shuttle bus.
A little tight w/ all our suitcases/food supplies, and tiny TVs. But again, if you are there to ski and not hang out in the room, it is just right.
3 days is good, a week for 2 people good... 4 is tight.
Our box spring on the bed had some very loud plastic on it, while good and sanitary, was horrible to sleep on.
Staff was SUPER helpful and friendly.
Would stay there again.
So much fun!!!!
