Pasamos muy bonito con mi familia en esta experiencia ski in and out. Las pocas veces q tienes que comunicarte con el personal es amable, de forma clara y eficiente. Todo es muy sencillo desde la reserva, el check in y el check out.
March 2025 stay at Sugar Mountain

We thoroughly enjoyed skiing at Sugar Mountain and the ease of the location of rental. Unfortunately the snow was thick on the hill the first day and we had to carry our skis down the hill/stairs to get to the ski hill due to lack of snow around the property. We skied the following day early am and the snow was better and had been groomed.

Second year staying at this same property. We love the location- close to the indoor pool/hot tub. My only complaint is the main bed is awful. They just need to get some kind of new bed for the mattress. Other than that - it was a wonderful stay.
Don’t stay in 421
Michael F. from Greer, SC,
Stayed 4 days ending January 2025
This review is solely a reflection of unit 421 and not the staff at Sugar Ski & CC. 421 is severely outdated. During our stay we had to call maintenance twice. Once for the dishwasher not working and the second the hot water heater failed and had to be fixed with a new element. Zoe and the SSCC were fantastic and offered a new unit but I feel bad that Owners of this unit put the staff through that (probably regularly). You shouldn’t be allowed to rent out your unit with such little care to your property. Honestly this place wouldn’t be worth $50 per night if it weren’t for its location. Find another unit other than 421.
GREAT LOCATION/UNCOMFORTABLE BEDS !!

UNIT 421 CAN'T BEAT THE LOCATION. UNIT WAS CLEAN BUT KING BED WAS ACTAULLY SET OF TWIN BEDS WHICH WAS FINE WITH US AND THE QUEEN BED VERY UNCOMFORTABLE AS WELL AS THE SOFA SLEEPER. NO COFFEE FILTERS AND KITCHEN POTS/PANS NEED UPGRADED. ONLY HAD 3 WASHCLOTHES FOR 6 PEOPLE FOR 2 DAYS BUT THE OFFICE TOOK CARE OF SUPPLING US WITH MORE. OVERALL IF BEDS ARE UPGRADED AND NEW COOKING SUPPLIES THEN I WOULD STAY AT THIS UNTI AGAIN. OFFICE STAFF VERY NICE AND HELPFUL !!

Family Ski Trip

Our family RENTED 6 UNITS THIS YEAR. WE enjoy the convenience to slopes and the new pool and clubhouse. I had unit 421. Having the washer and dryer was helpful. This unit needs some basic updates. The kitchen has limited cooking supplies, there was no baking pans, only one small pitcher. There were no linens for the sleeper. Blankets were just piled in closets. No way to determine if clean. Mattresses are very uncomf and old and the living room furniture dirty. I used a kitchen knife to repair bath door knob. Master bath needs light bulbs.

A perfect ski-out location. My husband and our 2 boys were able to walk around the building and right onto the slopes. The view from the unit was awesome. The newer clubhouse is great. The unit itself was clean. However you are unable to use the closets in the bedrooms to hang anything up because there is so much excess like lamps, side tables and decor that needs cleaned out. The unit could definitely use an edit in terms of the amount of furniture that is there. As well as some upkeep like making sure the furniture is safe. All of the beds were very loose. The listing also said it was a King bed in the master, and it is not. Im not even sure it was a queen. Overall it was a good stay.
Not a renovated unit but good lication

Overall, the convenience of this condo was great. But I would implore the owners to secure loose doorknobs, replace light bulbs, put pillowcases on pillows and put a complete set of silverware in kitchen along with a colander. No hand soap anywhere. Visitors be prepared to bring everything you might need for your stay.

Unit 421. Do not rent!!!!
Anonymous from Brooksville, FL
Stayed 5 days ending March 2023
Unit 421 Sugar Mountain Country Club is in serious need of TLC. Dirty upholstery in living room. Filthy carpeting throughout. All cupboards & doors sqeak. NO amenities. No hair dryers. One dishwasher soap packet for a five night stay. 1/4 roll of paper towel in kitchen. Mishmash of pots & pans. Filthy oven. I had to go over the kitchen before use...still remnants from the last visitors. King bed in master bedroom?? NOT!!! It's a double bed! Horrible bed. Uncomfortable. Headboard rattles & creaks with every move. King sheets on a double bed. Ugh. Nasty Nasty matress. The garbage under the twin bed was appalling! Found trash dated November & it's February! NO dvd 's there but not working. TV didn't work in living room. Had to call maintenance twice but tv just kept going out.
Not happy with our stay in this unit. All it has going for it is location. I would NEVER rent this unit again. Never. Never. Never.
The property itself & the staff were great.
Great location

Good: location excellent, unit is simple, convenient access for ski in/out and pool, nice staff
Not good: unit needs some work (washer dryer door broken, broken shelf in fridge, mishmash of lighting and burned out bulbs, needs toaster, needs hairdryer, furnishings/furniture is worn and dated)
Best location for family ski trip
Amanda S. from Guntersville, AL

This is the best location for a ski trip since we could walk outside and ski down the slope. We even used their recommended gear rental company and they fitted us in the room then picked it up when we were rinished. The property had plenty of room for a family of 5 and was very clean.

Good location. We rent every year in this complex. They use to have a pool and hot tub. This condo needs a fresh redo. It’s like a grandma house

This place needs a overhaul. The furniture is dated, the refrigerator did not half way work. I could barely cook on the stove top. We did not have enough towels.

Location is great! Bedding is terrible
Renee D. from Charlotte, NC

Oma’s Meadow lift was not operating during our stay, but about 200 yards to the left there is access to a slope.
The location is great - not far from restaurants and grocery store.
Bedding was terrible- we ended up leaving a night early so we could get back to our beds and pillows.
I met the property manager who was wonderful and let us know she would communicate with the owner. We will be back, but come with our own pillows and mattress pads 🙂

Our family of four fit the condo just right. Our balcony overlooked the Oma Meadow lift. If we had our own gear we could of walked out the condo and started boarding. The condo was outdated and needed to be cleaned a little deeper. It worked well for our three night stay. Decor was very random and kitchen utensils and cookware were random and unorganized. Heat was hard to regulate. But overall my family had a good time.

Unit 421 was a great location to the slopes as well as the clubhouse with a pool and hot tub. The unit was clean and comfortable except for the heat. It has baseboard heat and was hard to regulate. Otherwise, it was a great time.

This room is perfect for a guys trip. The condition/décor seems to be from the early 90's. It was neat and relatively for older fixtures etc. But its a good value for the price and the location is perfect! I've rented this room multiple times.

Clean and Well Maintained
Heather J. from Nolensville, Tennessee
Stayed 3 days ending March 2016
While it was evident that the condo was older, it was very clean and well maintained. Everything was in good repair and working order. Kitchen was well stocked, bedrooms were very comfortable. Property management made a courtesy call to us to let us know that they were expecting snow and to drive safely. They were very friendly and accommodating to our (very) late check-in. Unit we stayed in was directly in front of the Ohms Way blue lift, so skiing in/out was very convenient.

We enjoyed the accomodations at Sugar Ski. The unit was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. We were disappointed that the lift just outside our unit was not open during our stay. We had to drive down to the valley to ski.
