One of our favorite places!

This is our third time renting at Sugar Ski and Country Club and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. The location is perfect for ski in and ski out (as long as Oma's in working) and it is also super close to the tubing, ice skating and several restaurants and stores. The condos are a good size and have several differnt bed configurations to work with your party. We love the balcony overlooking the ski lift and slope as well. Staff is always friendly and super welcoming and helpful. Booking process is easy. We will definitely be staying here again - its our favorite winter getaway!

We had a lovely time in unit 621. We travel to sugar every year and this is the best unit we've stayed in. It's very convenient to the slopes which is perfect with children and the view from the balcony is stunning. It was great to see too that the owners are from SC! The guest book was an extra added touch. We will definitely book unit 621 year after year.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy condo. It was clean and warm and nice to be able to walk right out into the snow! We also greatly enjoyed the pool and would definitely return.

While items were dated, everything in the unit worked and the location was perfect. Gina at the desk was amazing.
Great location, great amenities, room for improvement

This was a great unit! Pros included he bunk beds, well stocked kitchen, view and ease of access to slopes (best part!). It was also quiet, had a dishwasher and (very dated)clothes washer and dryer, amenities were close, and easy to come and go. There were a ton of blankets in the unit and the ski closet outside of the unit was very handy to keep our hallway from getting cluttered. The reservation was easy to make and the staff in the office were always helpful, anccomodating, and nice.
Biggest con was the unit itself was not cleaned throughly, and it seemed it hadn’t been deep cleaned in a while. There were plastic threads (or maybe dog hair!?) from the pullout couch all over the mattress protector. We had to vacuum the cover (with the vacuum in the unit) and mattress and then wash the cover before anyone was comfortable sleeping on it. It was pretty gross. There was also a couple of cabinets in the kitchen that were dusty and one had a bug in a pot. In full disclosure, that pot was the only thing in that one cabinet, so it clearly hadn’t been used in a long long time. The pullout mattress was not comfy and I would guess that only a very sleepy kid could sleep through the night on it. The unit was also very very hot and we were not able to control/change the temperature. The washer and dryer were a wonderful bonus but the mattress cover alone had to go through at least four dry cycles to fully dry. We had gloves on the sunshine that dried faster (and yes, we had the dryer on the correct temperature).
I’m not sure if the smaller recliner was a pro or a con but we got a ton of laughs seeing our family flip backwards when trying to recline in it.
I would stay here again for a very short visit, so overall very positive. The dryer was a bonus, dishwasher worked wonderfully, and we could open a window when we got too hot. The dated items in the unit don’t deter us at all. This would be a 5-star review if the u

Was unaware that four wheel drive vehical was needed when snowing which resulted in a 2 and a half mile walk uphill from the base of the mountain during the early a.m. hours due to late arrival time. This was not slopeside as advertised as the slope it is on was closed and the ski lift was not in service (no indication on website of closure). Was unable to locate staff to pick up second key for our multiparty reservation.

This is the third year we have stayed at the condos. We chose this unit for the bunk beds. Everyone had their own bed and were comfortable. The unit is clean, but worn. Great views. We really missed the hot tub after skiing. Hopefully all the amenities will be back next year. Very disappointed when the lift and run in front of condos were shut down due to lack of snow and the shuttle bus to the ski lodge does not run Tuesday-Thursday. The whole reason we stay here is for the convenience.

Relaxing Week in a Beautiful Mountain Condo

My wife and I loved our week at Sugar Ski in Unit 621. Beautiful mountain setting. Great unit with everything you need for a perfect week. Highly recommended.
Dated, dingy.

Great location for ski-in, ski-out as it's right at the Big Red lift and run. If you have small kids or beginners, you'll have to drive and park at the base camp. They do have a rental place on property but it's small and limited. They didn't have children's rentals when we were there.
The unit was dated. Clean dishes and cups needed to be re-washed. Upper bunk beds needed to be made because they just left the sheets. They require you to take out all the trash, take off used bedding, turn down the heat when you check out or they will charge you. No wifi. The common area is small as is the indoor pool. There might be better units in the building.

We had a wonderful room with a fantastic view of the slopes and mountains. The swimming pool and office were just a short walking distance, and the slopes were just footsteps away. The room was super clean, warm, and the kitchen had everything needed for cooking anything. I plan to come back in a few months.

Very nice. No one was there so that was nice for the space. Place I'd say could use easy uplift on a few things but nothing that really made it a poor place to stay, its a ski condo that held us and our 4-kids...overall, great experience!
Really Like Unit 621

We love staying in this unit. There were a few issues this time we haven't experienced in the past though....5 coffee mugs had heavy hot chocolate/instant coffee reside. There are two chipped and cracked glasses, a ripped blind in the bedroom window and upholstery on one of brown chairs is coming untacked. Some one also splattered coffee/hot chocolate on the inside of the entry door. All that said, it has been prefect in the past and we will rent this unit again next year. These things are correctable and very minor. Management team is fabulous!
